Where will auditions be held?
Hey Terry. There’s a hyperlink to the Facebook event page in the post. Here’s a link to the Facebook event page with all the details: https://www.facebook.com/events/445114662980999/
There were blacks in the West. One black cowboy Bill Pickett was a great Rodeo entainer who traveled the circuit. I would love to perform in a western. Most of the slave in this country worked on the railroad built accross this country. Hoping you add diversity to your film production.
Hi Paula. Yes, there was certainly a wide variety of people in the West. First of all, none of these characters listed are race-specific. Notice we did not put caucasian. An African-American, Hispanic-American, or person of other ethnicity can try out for any of these roles. Yes, the pictures are of white people because those are the best character-type references for our story but we never specified caucasian. Secondly, we will be casting in a diverse way either for this one or others. Check out our TEXAS RED project on Facebook which has black characters as the lead roles in the movie. Also, other films will feature diverse casts.
Love to see Diversity in your Western film productions. So many stories to be told. Buffalo Cowboys, Rangers, Rodeo Entertainers, abolitionist, One of the few things I can remember as a young child is dressing as a cowgirl with two toy guns! Would be a great way to educate and entertain through film.
Keep me updated please. Very interested in the role of Cam Talcutt.
Hi Paul. No time to update people individually. Please follow the 12 Westerns page on Facebook and if you can, attend the casting call to audition: https://www.facebook.com/events/445114662980999/
Hey Travis, Will probably audition for “BURLY MAN”, supposedly my character type. Well you know what my “type” is. Anyway, try to keep us informed, etc…….Thanks, Byron Hughes
Great. See you there.
Is it possible for me to see the entire script? I’d really like to dig into it prior to auditioning so I can get a fuller understanding of Cam. I would be more than happy to sign an NDA if that would help.
Sorry, sir. That would not be fair to the other actors. Everyone needs to work off the same material.
See you on the 21st.
Great!
I will audition for the Lone Rider part but would be equally happy just get called as an extra
