The Oklahoma Kid is a key supporting role in our film Texas Red. He is Texas Red’s partner and friend. I see the Kid as having the live-wire energy of legendary actor James Cagney. He may have actually adopted his nickname after watching Cagney in The Oklahoma Kid released in 1939, a year before our story takes place. This is a paid role.

Requirements for the role:
- Age 25-45
- 5’10 or under in height
- Bonus Points: Experience with horses and hand-guns
- You must prepare two scenes: 1. This side from our Texas Red script: Oklahoma Kid Side 2. Please prepare a scene from a James Cagney film of your choice. I would recommend The Oklahoma Kid (obviously), Public Enemy, or White Heat.
