We are excited to announce that Ward Emling has joined the cast of our Western TEXAS RED. He will play Sheriff Cliff Herring, a lawman in Franklin County who tries to be fair in the face of prejudice and violence.

Ward Emling served as the Film Commissioner for the Mississippi Film Office for thirty years. He recently retired from the position and has been acting in various productions from New Stage Theatre. Texas Red, based on true events, is one of our 12 Westerns in 12 Months. This film tells the story of Texas Red, an African-American man who was hunted by hundreds through the Winter wilderness of Mississippi in the year 1940. The script is co-written by DMM Simonton and producer/director Travis Mills.
