Casting Call in Vicksburg, Mississippi for Son of a Gun
We are proud to partner with The Strand Theatre in Vicksburg for the first casting call for our new movie Son of a Gun on January 26th. The film will start production in April. Visit our Facebook Event page here.
This is an open casting call: first come, first served. We welcome all ages, races, genders and actors of all experience levels. We will see as many actors as we can from 10am to 4pm on January 26th at The Strand Theatre. Sides and character details will be posted soon for actors to prepare.
We make films on a low budget. Some principal cast will be paid, providing the final budget allows it, but not all roles will be. Please do not audition if pay is a necessity. As of now this is a non-SAG project. We will make an announcement if that changes.
Son of a Gun is inspired by a true story, set in and around Vicksburg, Mississippi. The film takes place during and after the Civil War and we would describe it as comedy film with touches of tragedy.

Thanks Frank. We hope to mostly shoot in Vicksburg, since that’s where the original story took place. We also may shoot in other places around Mississippi including Monticello.
