52 of 52: James Joyce’s The Dead

Many consider James Joyce’s The Dead to be the greatest short story ever written. I agree. The story of a Christmas celebration, it is about family, culture, tradition, love, marriage, youth, gender and death. John Huston adapted the long short story into his last film and did so very well. We will bring Joyce’s tale to modern day Arizona in our version which is our 15th Joyce adaptation, the completion of our making of his entire Dubliners collection, and the 52nd in our series of 52. You can read the story here.

All of our story adaptations announced, today we begin our Kickstarter campaign and in January we start filming. Keep checking back for more from Running Wild Films.
