New Casting Call for Son of a Gun in Shreveport on January 31st
We’re excited to have yet another casting call for Son of a Gun in Shreveport, Louisiana at the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse. Facebook event page here.
This is an open casting call: first come, first served. We welcome all experience levels. We will see as many actors as we can from 12pm to 4pm. That same night our film Blood Country plays at the Robinson Film Center at 6:00pm.

We make low-budget films. Some principal cast will be paid, providing the final budget allows it, but not all roles will be. Please do not audition if pay is a necessity. As of now this is a non-SAG project. We will make an announcement if that changes.
Our production will take place in Mississippi in April 2018, most likely in the Vicksburg area for most of the shoot but we may try to film some parts of the movie near Shreveport.
Son of a Gun is inspired by a true story, set in and around Vicksburg, Mississippi. The film takes place during and after the Civil War and we would describe it as comedy film with touches of tragedy.
