A film born from a title. I had watched both the Polish crime masterpiece Night Train and the fun British thriller Night Train to Munich… suddenly the title, Night Train to Phoenix came to me and from there a minimalist story was formed to play with character, mood, and visuals. This was also made at a time where the team that we formed when making our first feature was starting to crumble.
